These ankle strengthening exercises for seniors will help get you started on creating better balance, more mobility and as less pain and stiffness.

Why Do Ankle Strengthening Exercises?

A strong foundation is required to move with ease in everyday tasks, sports, and exercise, as well as to do enjoyable activities like cycling, bowling, walking at Disney, playing with grandchildren, dancing, and more.

That foundation begins with your feet and ankles.

If your ankles are wobbly or hurting, your movement and balance are compromised and as I know from arthritis, you can feel pain and discomfort with each and every step. NOT FUN!

The best solution is to spend some time every day on ankle strengthening exercises to keep those ankles strong and mobile and the muscles supporting them stretched.

After all, they are one of the most important joints in keeping us moving.

Some other useful tools I mention in the video:

At the minimum, do these ankle strength exercises for seniors at least three times a week. The balance videos found here would also be good to incorporate into your routine.

After three weeks of dedication, you should see improvement in your painful or wobbly ankles and hopefully more confidence in every step.

Here’s to FEELING GOOD!
