If you’ve been following my videos for a while, or if you have attended one of my classes in person, you know my feet have been a big area of struggle for me.
I suffer from both rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, which bring pain, swelling, stiffness, you name it–not to mention being unsightly!
I have been battling foot pain for years and it’s only through diligent, daily attention that I have been able to maintain my mobility and keep teaching and creating videos for you all.
So with that, let’s talk about the importance of your feet and what you can do to relieve foot pain if it’s a problem for you, as well.
The Importance of Foot Pain Exercises
The feet are the foundation for all movement and a big factor in balance and fall prevention.
If your gait is off due to foot imbalances, it can put your whole body out of alignment affecting your knees, hips and low back.
I know that when one of my feet is bothering me, I favor it while I walk.
This causes me to hold my spine in an unnatural way, and later on I pay for it in the form of back pain. Arg!
Additionally, factors such as arthritis, neuropathy, bunions, hammertoes, overpronation, plantar fasciitis, poor arches, previous injury, and the list goes on, all can contribute to foot pain.
How Exercise Can Relieve Foot Pain
This video is designed to start your feet on a journey back to less pain, improved circulation, better mobility but most of all hope: hope of eliminating your foot pain and creating a stronger foundation for overall movement and balance.
IT WILL NOT WORK in one session.
Benefits are cumulative and being dedicated to three times a week for three weeks should start to bring improvement to your foot pain.
Like I said, some weeks I have to do these exercises every day!

My doctors have recommended a strong supportive shoe like Brooks and New Balance for walking and exercise to relieve foot pain.
